By accessing or using the SMG Movers website or by booking moving services with SMG Movers ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
SMG Movers provides residential, commercial, packing, loading, unloading, and intrastate long-distance moving services in California. The specific scope of any move is determined when you book your job. We reserve the right to refuse service for any lawful reason.
Quotes provided over the phone, by text, or through our online form are estimates based on the information you provide. Actual cost is determined by the time and labor required on the day of the move, billed at the hourly rate quoted (or, where applicable, as a flat rate for long-distance jobs). A 3-hour minimum applies to all hourly moves.
To reserve your move date, a $50 deposit is required. The deposit is credited to your final bill. The deposit is non-refundable if the move does not happen due to customer cancellation or no-show. If we are unable to perform the move for any reason on our end, your deposit will be fully refunded.
You may reschedule your move at no charge if you contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled start time. Cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours forfeit the $50 deposit. We reserve the right to reschedule due to weather, mechanical breakdown, or other circumstances beyond our control; in those cases, no penalty applies.
Payment is due upon completion of the move. We accept cash, Zelle, and Venmo. Hourly moves are billed in 15-minute increments after the 3-hour minimum. Long-distance jobs are billed at the agreed flat rate.

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport hazardous materials (flammable liquids, explosives, ammunition, propane tanks, etc.), perishable food, live plants or animals, illegal substances, or items containing personal valuables such as cash, jewelry, or important documents. We recommend you transport such items yourself.
SMG Movers exercises reasonable care in handling your belongings. We are liable for direct physical loss or damage to items caused by our negligence, subject to the limits and exclusions described in this section. Claims for damage must be reported in writing within seven (7) days of the move. SMG Movers is not responsible for: damage to items packed by the customer; damage to items of extraordinary value not disclosed in advance; or consequential, incidental, or punitive damages of any kind.
You agree to indemnify and hold SMG Movers, its owners, employees, and agents harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your use of our services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of SMG Movers or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or our services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
